1. Yarn Types
Since this is a finger protector used for work, you should choose a low-fuzz, durable yarn with a slight elasticity:
Best Choice: Lace Yarn or Cotton Crochet Thread (size 10 or 20). These fibers keep the dog compact and ensure details like the ears and tail do not look bulky.
Popular Choice: Milk Cotton 25g (fine weight). These yarns offer a wide range of colors, making it easier to coordinate the "sweater" colors for a more vibrant look.
Note: Avoid using chenille/velvet yarn or bulky yarns, as they will make the dog too large and it won't fit your finger.
2. Hook Sizes
For 1mm thread (or Lace yarn): Use a 1.25mm to 1.5mm hook.
For fine Milk Cotton yarn: Use a 1.75mm to 2.0mm hook.
3. Accessories
Eyes: You should use safety eyes or glue-on craft eyes (size 2mm - 3mm), or embroider them with black thread in a bean shape for the most natural look.
Stuffing: You only need a very small amount of fiberfill to stuff the head.
Yarn Needle: Choose a small-tipped needle to easily sew the tiny parts together.
Pro Tip
When crocheting the Body, maintain a slightly tighter tension than usual. This ensures the "ring" fits snugly around your finger and doesn't slip off while you are sewing or working.

Ears (Make 2)
R1: Ch 6, start from the 2nd chain from hook: 4 sc, 3 sc in the last chain.
R2: Work on the opposite side of the chain: 4 sc.
Sl st to the first stitch to join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Head
R1:  MR, 5 sc [5].
Sl st to join, pull the ring tight.
R2:  5 inc [10].
R3-4:  10 sc [10].

R6:  3 sc, 6 inc, 3 sc [18].
R7-8:  18 sc [18].
R9:  (1 sc, 1 dec) x 6  [12].
Last Round: All dec. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Main Body (Finger Sleeve)
R1:  Ch 16, sl st to the first chain to form a ring.
R2:  16 sc around, sl st to join.
R3:  11 sc, ch 1, turn (leave the remaining stitches unworked to create the finger joint opening).
R4:  11 sc, ch 1, turn.
Color Change: Change to a different yarn color on the last stitch of this row if you want to make a sweater.
R5:  Continue crocheting rows of 11 sc until the sleeve reaches your desired finger length.
Final Row: After finishing the length, ch 9, sl st to the first stitch of the row to close the ring again.
Edge: Sc 1 round around the entire final ring to finish the edge.
Tail
Insert hook into the middle position at the end of the body.
Ch 4, start from the 2nd chain from hook: 3 sc.
Sl st into the body, fasten off, and hide the yarn tails.
Assembly and Details
Eyes and Nose: Embroider with black thread onto the head after adding a small amount of fiberfill.
Attach Ears: Sew the ears onto both sides of the head around Round 6 or 7.
Attach Head: Sew the head onto the body on the side opposite to the tail.

Congratulations, your creation is all finished!
